          Welcome to the Nominee Mentorship Platform (Closed Beta)

          Thank you for participating in the closed beta of the Nominee Mentorship Platform. This early release allows us to learn from real usage and improve the experience before a broader launch. Before continuing, please review the following important considerations:

          • Data stability: While we take care to preserve user data, features and infrastructure are still evolving. In rare cases, information you enter during the beta period may be modified or removed due to critical bugs, migrations, or system changes.
          • Safety and reporting: At this stage, in-platform reporting and moderation tools are limited. If you encounter inappropriate behavior, technical issues, or have concerns about an interaction, please contact us directly at [email protected] or submit feedback through the platform.
          • Confidentiality: This beta is private and intended only for invited participants. We ask that you do not share screenshots, recordings, or details about the platform with individuals outside of the beta group.
          • Participation expectations: By joining the closed beta, you agree to actively explore the platform and provide thoughtful feedback. Regular use helps us identify bugs, usability issues, and areas where the experience may be unclear or incomplete.
          • Peer-to-peer interactions: Nominee facilitates connections between individuals but does not provide professional, medical, or legal advice. Participants are responsible for their own communications and decisions made as a result of mentorship interactions.
          • Changing features: Functionality, design, and workflows may change frequently during the beta. Some features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice.
          • Feedback is valued: Honest feedback — including what feels confusing, incomplete, or frustrating — is especially helpful at this stage and directly shapes the future of the platform.
          • Beta access: Access to the closed beta may be limited, paused, or revoked as we iterate, without guarantee of continued availability.

          Release 1.0.1 New Release

          What's New?

          • Mentorship Overview: Added a card here to show a link to your mentorship pair's profile so you can reference it at any time.
          • Mentorship Availability: Implemented a "Global Availability" within My Account and by default each mentorship relationship will use that availability. Each person has the power to override that availability with mentorship-specific availability if they want to only allow specific people access to specific times.

          Bug Fixes

          • Mentorship Sessions: Fixed a bug where if a proposed session is never accepted by the other person and the time passes it shows up as a past session. Now if a proposed session never gets accepted by the proposed time of the session it gets marked as cancelled and doesn't appear as a past session.
          • View Profile: Added a min-height in case the profile longform answers are all very short.
          • My Account: The menu in My Account on mobile was not reflecting the actual section you are in for My Subscriptions. This is now fixed.
          • Your Profile: Fixed a bug where sometimes your profile doesn't load information on intial click

          What's New?

          • Public Launch: Nominee is now available for anyone to register and use
          • Learn: We imported all of our learning content into the new platform. We will be phasing out the old platform at app.gonominee.com in the coming months.

          Bug Fixes

          • Your Profile: Fixed a bug where the profile photo upload window pops back up for a 2nd time after selecting an image
          • Your Profile: The release of the timezone selector prevented new users from saving profiles for a brief period of time
          • SSO: Made some enhancements to the SSO login logic

          What's New?

          • App-Wide: Guest users can purchase Plans in a new plans page
          • Plans: We cleaned up the way we determine access to the platform through applying plans to every account. We assigned accounts to plans.

          Bug Fixes

          • Your Profile: Fixed a bug where the fallback if a role wasn't set the profile would default to a mentor profile. This wsa changed so that everyone defaults to a Mentee unless they are explicity marked as a Mentor.

          Release 0.9.4

          What's New?

          • App-Wide: Various styling improvements made so that the experience looks better in mobile browsers
          • Edit Profile: We revised the questions we ask in the Edit Profile modal. Profiles are update to reflect the new questions and some updated options. We also did some light re-architecting of how we structure profile data versus account data. Closed Beta participants who created profiles prior to March 11th, 2026 may need to re-answer questions they already completed.

          Release 0.9.3

          What's New?

          • Account: If you are an admin for a multi-member organization, we added a section for you to manage the members in your organization. You can add members, delete members, and change your organization name.
          • Mentor Stat Logging: We began some work starting to log response rates and response times for Mentors. We will not be showing this to users (yet) but we start logging the accept/reject rate and also how long it takes to respond to a mentorship request.

          Bug Fixes

          • View Mentor Profile: When viewing your own profile from the mentor directory we hide the request mentorship buttons. They were visible before and did nothing when viewing your own profile.
          • Edit Profile: The Edit Profile modal would accidentally close sometimes when highlighting text to edit. This was due to the mouse-up occuring in the overlay area. This has been fixed so only intentional mouse down clicks outside of the Edit Profile modal will close the modal. This was a regression in v0.9.2 since rewriting My Profile.

          Release 0.9.2

          What's New?

          • My Account: Launched a new account portal to manage account settings. When you click in your avatar in the top right global navigation you'll see a new option to go to "My Account" that will take you to the new account portal.
          • Login: We created a separate login page versus having a dynamic overlay on every page. This works in tandem with a new account authentication process. This hardens security and ensures we do not load any data (even UI) unless your account is authenticated.
          • Ask Anything: Updated the card design layout and hover interaction to make it appear more clickable.

          Bug Fixes

          • My Profile: There was an account authentication "race-condition" that prevented some of your profile content from loading sometimes. This was fixed by an auth rewrite to ensure the platform authenticates your account first then runs any sub-scripts afterwards. When making this update there may have been some data loss with information saved in your profile
          • Ask Anything: There was an account authentication "race-condition" that prevented the "Answer" button from appearing for Mentors sometimes. This was fixed by an auth rewrite to ensure the platform authenticates your account first then runs any sub-scripts afterwards

          Release 0.9.1

          What's New?

          • Accounts: Implemented new single sign on (sso) sessions and cookies to support future account functionality
          • Mentor Profiles: Added a "Request" button near the top of the profile and also a fixed bar that appears while scrolling so that you can easily request mentorship at any moment versus waiting until you scroll to the bottom. Clicking it will scroll you to the Request Form at the bottom
          • Ask Anything: When users mark a question as "I have the same question" we now display a list of avatars and show the number of people who marked they have the same question

          Bug Fixes

          • My Profile: After implementation of sso, the "My Profile" page was briefly broken and the code needed to be restructured
          • Edit Profile: There was a bug that prevented Canadian profiles from saving due to the mislabelling of regions vs. provinces. This was fixed so profiles should save correctly without hitting a permissions error
          • View Profile: The "identity" row when viewing profiles was not using the neon tag treatment, so when multiple identities are selected there was not enough space for them and it overlapped other text. This was corrected to match how it is displayed in "My Profile"
          • Profiles: If you choose "Prefer not to say" or "Other" as pronouns, we now hide the pronoun field from appearing on your profile. If you fall in these categories please let us know if you would like this choice shown or hidden

          What's New?

          • Beta Acknowledgement: We now require all users to acknowledge disclaimers about the Beta Program before engaging with the platform
          • Release Notes: Any time there is a new platform release all users will see a release notes modal showing them what has changed
          • Forgot Password: Added a Forgot Password flow on login to allow users to reset their passwords
          • Leave Feedback: Ability for users to access a feeback portal by clicking their user photo in the top right and clicking "Leave Feedback"

          • UX Improvements: When saving profile changes, the modal automatically closes. When sending a mentorship request you'll now see the Mentorship Panel pop open and see your new request appear in the requests tab
          • Mentorship Panel: The red alert bubble will only represent incoming Mentorship requests and exclude pending outgoing requests
          • Mentorship Experience: When proposing new sessions, the time ranges will now reflect desired session durations within available time ranges. Before the fix if a user set an available time range of 9:00am-5:00pm, you can only book that entire time range versus being able to choose a reasonable 30-minute or 1-hour window within that availability window
